Podcast Planning

As you may have noticed from the additional tab above, I'm planning to start a podcast! I'm a long-time listener of many podcasts and have often longed to start one, but wondered what I'd talk about. I decided that a big move was the perfect time to launch something new.

I was hoping to get it out by the end of March, but have decided - in true Nikki fashion - to tackle one thing at a time instead. At the moment, I'm a couple of days into my new job and we've just put a deposit down on a flat. So I'm going to wait until we've moved into our new home before embarking on something else.

I'm hoping that learning about recording and editing audio will be a welcome distraction when homesickness strikes (I still feel like I'm on holiday) and a way of meeting new people.
To begin with, it will mostly be...

Chatter
As soon as we're settled, we'll be heading out to explore our new hometown so I'll be sharing those adventures, as well as all the other things we get up to.

WIPs & FOs
I'm hoping to come up with a catchier title for this, but it does what it says on the tin really! I'll be chatting about what's on and off my needles and maybe even on my spindle and sewing machine. We shall see...!

In the future, I am hoping to include some interviews too. I'd love to talk to people who are forging their own idea of success in a world that very much tries to push us down a certain route. I have a list of people I'd love to approach, so I'm hoping to share those on a semi-regular basis.

If you'd like to be interviewed or know something you'd love to hear from, then please tell me! This is very much the part of the project that's pushing me outside of my comfort zone. While I know nothing about audio, that's is something I can work on and figure out from the safety of my sofa, in the comfort of my own home. Approaching people as basically a nobody is so much scarier, but I guess that is what will make it worthwhile.

Wish me luck!
